Ever wanted to see how a scene is planned? Then why not take a look at these Rocket Man story boards?
Prayer of the Bone
We started two days of recce ( or scout as the Texans say ) covering all of the major locations on 28th July. It is extremely hot ( to those of us from the UK )and the mosquitos are biting.
Monday 30th July the first day of shooting commenced at the Grady House 30 miles outside of Austin, Texas. Although it has been grey and raining for about three weeks our first day is brilliant sunshine and 97f and would you believe it, we are shooting a night scene. We have some great locations for this shoot including the Capitol Building in Austin, The State Hospital and the courthouse in La Grange. I will post some photos of these and behind the scenes photos on the website soon.
Everywhere we go we receive a warm welcome and the Texans we have met are very friendly and helpful. In particular Ed Janecka, the Fayette County Judge from La Grange, John Crowley from the Texas Film Commission and Debbie from the State Hospital and of course the cast and crew of ‘Prayer’ who are really enjoying the shoot.
Prayer of the Bone is being directed by Declan O'Dwyer and the D.O.P. is Sam McCurdy.
Filming is now complete on Prayer of the Bone and we will be editing in the UK for the next few weeks. At this time we do not have a broadcast date but I imagine it may be later this year or early next year.

Hi Y'all, (Texas talk for those who don't know)
There has been some day for night shooting although most of that is now complete.
We will be shooting at the Capitol building in Austin on Sunday 12th August.
Gas prices are still amazingly cheap here compared to the UK. ie your $2.90 to our $10.00 equivalent.
